Hunter Nursing Nannies was established in 2001 at "Pine Lodge" Scone to service the growing demand for foster mares within the Hunter Valley of NSW. Since it's inception our client base has extended well beyond our home territory, now reaching into the Thoroughbred Nurseries of Queensland, Victoria and New Zealand.
The business was developed to provide orphan foals with foster mothers when the crisis situation arose and also to provide foster mares for foals that for various reasons will not prosper on their own mothers.
The availability of a Hunter Nursing Nanny erases the difficulty of finding a foster mare following the loss of a broodmare. An orphan foal can now be united with a "nanny" as soon as possible without endless hours of telephone calls and heartache.
We have developed a Colostrum Bank with frozen colostrum available for purchase, can supply all your powdered foal milk requirements and the Udderly Ez Mare Milking Machine. Hunter Nursing Nannies has also built a reputation for breeding quality performance horses with "temperament".
This is our brand. We would love to hear from you if you have purchased a horse that we have bred.
